The Al-Wahda Football Tournament organised by KSIJ in collaboration with IU and USC was held from 10th December to 16th December 2024 in Dar es Salaam, at Al-Muntazir Boys Primary International School,
showcasing incredible talent and sportsmanship.






Participating Teams
Seven teams competed in this year’s tournament:
- Al Ahly FC
- Juventus FC
- Zamalek FC
- Athletico FC
- Predators FC
- Ballers FC
- EB FC
Tournament Format
The tournament followed a round-robin format, with all teams playing against each
other. The top four teams advancing to the semi-finals were: - Juventus FC
- Al Ahly FC
- Athletico FC
- Ballers FC
Semi-Finals
The semi-final matches were intense and competitive:
Al Ahly FC defeated Ballers FC to secure their place in the final.
Juventus FC emerged victorious against Athletico FC to claim the other spot in the
final.
The Final
The championship match was a closely fought battle between Al Ahly FC and
Juventus FC. The match ended in a 0-0 draw in regular time, leading to a penalty
shootout. Al Ahly FC held their nerves and triumphed 2-0 on penalties, becoming the
champions of the tournament.
Individual Awards
Top Scorer: Br. Hussein Bakalo (Al Ahly FC) with an outstanding 24 goals.
Best Player: Br. Arif Khalfan (Juventus FC).
Best Goalkeeper: Br. Abbas Rashid (Al Ahly FC).
Upcoming Goalkeeper: Br. Adil Dewji (EB FC).
Upcoming Player: Br. Adnan Nanji (Ballers FC).
Acknowledgements
We extend our gratitude to all the participating teams for their efforts and
sportsmanship throughout the tournament. A special appreciation goes to the two
under-16 teams, Ballers FC and EB FC, for their remarkable performance in
competing with senior teams.
This tournament highlighted the immense talent within our community and fostered
unity and camaraderie.
