Community members are urged to take personal precautions during this season where we are seeing an increase in infectious diseases. The Central Medical Board recommends the following:
1) Ensure you are seeing your doctor without any delay upon feeling unwell. This will ensure timely treatment.
2) If you are experiencing respiratory symptoms (example flu and cough), keep away from gatherings as you may spread illnesses to vulnerable people especially the elderly.
3) Maintain good hand hygiene at all times with frequent hand washing or sanitizing with alcohol based sanitizers.
4) Avoid unnecessary crowds. This is especially important for elderly people.
5) Protect yourselves from mosquito bites at all times by using repellents, mosquito nets and ensure barriers are present especially on house windows.
Seasonal illnesses are common all around the world and there is no need to panic. However we must ensure we are taking good care of our health and environment at all times.
The Central Medical Board of KSIJ will continue updating community members on Health related information.

Successful Completion of the Leadership Development Program (LDP) by AFED & KSIJ Dar es Salaam
The recently concluded Leadership Development Program (LDP), organized by AFED & KSIJ Dar es Salaam, was held from 1st to 4th May at Mehfil-e-Abbas. The program brought together 23 participants, all eager to enhance their personal growth, leadership skills, and community development.
The four-day event was truly enlightening, filled with engaging workshops, interactive discussions, and valuable insights aimed at empowering future leaders. We are incredibly proud of our participants for their commitment and dedication.

Held over three thrilling days at the renowned Pictona at Holly Hill, the tournament featured over 1,100 games and welcomed 225 participants from across North America and beyond, including players from Atlanta, New York, Toronto, Orlando, Colorado, and Dar es Salaam.

We are proud to announce that Br. Hussein Dewji and Br. Mohammed Murtaza Chandoo successfully defended their championship title, marking their second consecutive win at SMASH. Their dedication and teamwork are truly commendable.
