The recent KWIQ Pickleball BOYS Tournament at Hayaat Fitness Centre was a historic event and a resounding success. The tournament, divided into two categories, saw ages 12 to 15 years playing on November 29th and ages 8 to 11 years on November 30th. With an impressive turnout of 29 teams and 58 players, the event showcased the enthusiasm and sportsmanship of all the young athletes.
Age Group 12 to 15:
Winners: Team Legends (Ali Parpia & Mohammed Jaffer)
Runners-up: Team Dink Dynasty (Kazim Ladha & Muhammed Jessa)
Third Place: Team Smashers (Ali Murtaza Chandoo & Mahdi Manji)
Fourth Place:Team Ronaldo (Alijawad Ladha & Suhail Ladha)
Age Group 8 to 11:
Winners:Team Shia Boys (Aliasgher Panjwani & Amaar Murji)
Runners-up: Team Simply Jr (Miqdaad Manji & Saahil Damji)
Third Place: Team Simba (Mohamedhassan Dewji & Ouwais Nasser)
Fourth Place: Team M2 (Mahdi Dhalla & Mahdi Pirani)
The tournament was filled with high-energy matches, highlighting the skills and enthusiasm of all participants. The competition was entertaining, and all participants gained valuable experience.
The awards ceremony, held by HFC chairman Mustafa Ladha, included a short speech of appreciation. Awards were presented to victorious teams and sponsors, while all participants received medals for their efforts.
The KWIQ Pickleball tournament was not just about competition but also about fostering a love for the game in the young generation. The vibrant atmosphere was enjoyed by both participants and spectators, making it a memorable occasion that highlighted the growing popularity of pickleball. The objective of promoting pickleball within the young community was successfully met, and there is hope for even more participants in future tournaments.
