Mnazi Moja Camp Statistics: Impacting 10,000+ Visitors

Dear Esteemed Community Members,

We are elated to share with you the resounding success of the “Mafunzo Ya Imam Hussain” event
held at Mnazi Moja. This exceptional initiative, organized by the KSI Jamaat of Dar es Salaam, has left
an indelible mark on our hearts and the lives of thousands. As we conclude this event, it is our
privilege to present you with the final statistics that bear witness to the incredible impact of our
collective efforts.

Hadith from the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family):
“Whoever among you alleviates the suffering of a needy person, Allah will alleviate his suffering in
this world and the Hereafter.” (Sahih Muslim)

Eye Care:
The heart of our event, the eye care services, have proven to be a lifeline for many. We are proud to
announce that we screened over 4000 individuals for eye diseases, providing hope and healing to
those in need. Among these, 220 cataract cases were identified, and they have been referred for
essential treatments and surgeries, all offered without cost to KSI Charitable Eye Centre (Under
KSIJDar) and Medewell (Wiphas). Additionally, we provided reading glasses to 1871 individuals and
dispensed eye drops to 1851 patients.

Blood Donation:
Our blood donation camp, conducted in collaboration with Damu Salama, was met with incredible
enthusiasm. A total of 510 units of donated blood were collected during this selfless act, which will
serve the pressing needs of our community members requiring this invaluable resource.

Cancer Screening:
Cancer awareness is a vital part of our mission. We conducted cervical cancer screenings for 163
individuals and breast cancer screenings for 241 individuals, ensuring early detection and
prevention.

General Health Check-ups:
Medical check-ups and consultations were provided to 1879 individuals, encompassing a range of
health parameters, including blood pressure, sugar levels, and non-communicable diseases. The
impact of early detection and preventive care cannot be overstated.

Education and Awareness:
One of our core objectives was to disseminate knowledge about the Holy Prophet, Karbala, and
Imam Hussain (a.s.). We are immensely proud to share that we reached out to and educated a
staggering 8,500+ individuals in our community. This is a testament to our commitment to spreading
the noble message of Islam and the teachings of our beloved Imam Hussain.

Mental Health Awareness:
Mental health, often a neglected facet of well-being, received due attention during our event. We
conducted awareness sessions that reached an impressive 8,500+ individuals, dispelling stigmas and
fostering understanding about the importance of mental health. Our aim was to advocate for the
inclusion and compassionate treatment of those experiencing mental health challenges.

The success of this event was made possible by the dedicated efforts of 350 volunteers from KSIJDar,
IU, Tabligh, Medical, and various institutions. Their selfless service, round-the-clock, was

10,000 individuals from our community and beyond. This overwhelming response stands as a

in every corner of Mnazi Moja.

The “Mafunzo Ya Imam Hussain” event has not only showcased our commitment to serving the
broader community but has also served as a beacon of hope and inspiration for all. We are grateful
to have had the opportunity to share the timeless teachings of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and the Holy
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) with thousands of individuals.

As we move forward, let us continue to embody the principles of justice, compassion, and
unwavering dedication to the well-being of humanity, just as Imam Hussain did in Karbala.
