SSC-SOCIAL SERVICE COMMITTEE

The Social Services Committee (SSC) is one of the sub-sections of the Khoja Shia Ithna-asheri Jamaat of dar es Salaam. Our main objective is to identify, support and cater to the needs of the underprivileged members of the community.Our Support system is mainly based to provide our membership of monthly utilities, education, medical aid (Foreign and Local), marriage grants and micro business loans for small scale entrepreneurs free ofinterest in accordance to the tenets and doctrines of the Shia Ithna-asheri faith.The SSC also provides housing facilities to widows and other senior male and female members of the community, whereby all basic necessities (meals, medical etc) are provided as well as recreational activities for ladies are also arranged on a regular basis. Currently the SSC runs 3 old people’s homes and2 for the gents.
