Job Summary

A senior managerial position in the KSIJ Dar es Salaam, with full responsibility of office and operational management for the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations to ensure the organization runs smoothly, from logistics and inventory management to vendor relations and infrastructure maintenance.
  2. Team Coordination: Act as the primary link between departments, ensuring seamless communication and timely project execution.
  3. Office Administration: Oversee the management of office space, supplies, equipment, and utilities. Ensure facilities meet health, safety, and operational standards.
  4. Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, ensuring the organization’s needs are met while remaining within budget.
  5. Staff Onboarding & Training: Coordinate the induction of new employees, provide necessary training, and ensure they’re equipped to serve our cause effectively.
  6. Process Enhancement: Regularly evaluate and refine operational procedures for increased efficiency and productivity.
  7. Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between management, staff, volunteers, and external partners.
  8. Event & Program Logistics: Assist in the coordination and logistical planning of fundraisers, outreach programs, and other organizational events.


  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.
  2. A minimum of 4 years of office or operations management experience, preferably within a non-profit or charitable institution.
  3. Proficient in office software, tools, and technologies. Experience with softwares, e.g., “Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace” is advantageous.
  4. Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Familiarity with non-profit operations and an understanding of their unique challenges and opportunities.
