Job Position : Internal Auditor
Job Contract : Term Contract
Job Location : KSIJ Dar es Salaam Offices, 9^th Floor Sabodo Parkade

Job Summary

A comprehensive internal audit of the institution which will allow the overall improvement of the institution and application of best practices as required

Scope of the Audit:

1. Financial Review: Assess the accuracy and appropriateness of the institution’s financial statements, including income, expenses, and balance sheets.
2. Operational Procedures: Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of our operational processes, ensuring alignment with our mission and objectives.
3. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the institution is compliant with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, as well as any specific to charitable organizations.
4. Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks facing the institution, from financial vulnerabilities to operational inefficiencies, and provide recommendations for mitigation.
5. Donor Funds Utilization: Verify that donations and grants are utilized in accordance with donor intentions and the institution’s objectives.
6. Information Systems & Data Management: Assess the security and reliability of our data management systems and technology infrastructure.
7. Human Resources & Governance: Examine policies, procedures, and practices related to personnel and governance for adherence to established standards and best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Licensed auditor or accredited auditing firm with a track record of conducting internal audits for non-profit or charitable institutions.
2. A minimum of 5 years of auditing experience.
3. Comprehensive understanding of the regulatory environment for charitable institutions.
4. Proficient in modern auditing tools and software.
5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
6. Excellent communication abilities for effective stakeholder engagement.
