Job Summary

A Human Resources consultant who will put in place best practices as well as create processes and systems to ensure smooth HR exercise across the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Organizational Analysis: Review current HR practices, identify gaps, and recommend best-practice solutions tailored to the non-profit sector.
  2. Recruitment Strategy: Develop and implement efficient recruitment processes to attract and retain top talent that aligns with our institution’s values.
  3. Training & Development: Propose and assist in facilitating training programs to foster employee development and drive mission alignment.
  4. Performance Management: Design or enhance a performance appraisal system that fosters growth, accountability, and motivation among the staff.
  5. Compensation & Benefits: Analyze and provide recommendations on competitive compensation structures and benefit packages suited for a charitable institution of our scale.
  6. Employee Relations: Advise on effective strategies to maintain positive employee relations and promote a harmonious work environment.
  7. Compliance & Governance: Ensure that our HR policies and procedures comply with local, state, and federal laws.
  8. Change Management: Provide guidance on managing organizational transitions and growth while minimizing disruptions and ensuring staff well-being.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s or other advanced degrees are a plus.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of HR consulting experience, with a preference for experience within the non-profit or charitable sector.
  3. Comprehensive understanding of HR principles, practices, and laws.
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  5. Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical solutions.
  6. Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
