The Hero Of Kindness
This event was organized by the Development society youth council girls on Wednesday, 18th of September 2024. This workshop was held in Mehfil e Abbas (2nd floor) from 3:30 to 5:00pm. The event was started by settling the kids down and a poem was recited by a kid on Holy Prophet (SAWW). The speakers, Aamena Bhimani then started with a short introduction of who was the Holy Prophet (SAWW) then a short story, she fully played her role, later the kids were given fun activity. All the member helped engaging the kids. The event was ended with a shortgame to make the kids feel more excitement.
Main objective of the event were:
– Short Introduction of Holy Prophet (SAWW)
– Stories of Holy Prophet (SAWW)
– Activities
Alhamdulillah The event was successful and above objective were achieved.
Conclusion, the event was good and the kids had fun and enjoyed, received the feedback from kid’s parent.
Q&A Session
This event was organized by Youth Council Girls on 6th September 2024, This was a ladies only event which took place at the tabligh auditorium 2nd floor from 7:30-9:00pm.
The event was led by our Mc Sister Aasiya Dhalla and Sister Kaniz Mehershah, we began the program with the tafseer of some verses of the Quran by sister Rija virani and then opened the floor for questions,
The program began by answering pre-written questions from the participants and then moved on to questions directly from the crowd which were answered by Sheikh syed Adeel Raza, Sheikh
Mohamed Kamran and Sheikh Haider Naqvi. This question answer session allowed us to have a variety of questions and answers during the event and very insightful explanations from the sheikhs.
Our main objectives for this event were:
• To answer unanswered questions
• A spiritual boost on questions that have always wanted to be asked.
• Learn and grow through the explanations of the sheikhs.
The objectives were well met and In conclusion, the event was successful as it met all the
objectives planned, it was engaging and received positive feedback from the crowd.
Noble Radiance
The event was organised by the Youth Council girls of Development Society on Thursday, 5th of September 2024. This Ladies only event was held at the Ladies Imambargah (Kids wing) from 7:45-9:30PM.
The event commenced with a short introduction of our event and our speakers, Fatim Bai Raza and Sheikh Zishan Somji. Fatim bai began her talk by exploring women in different religions in the historic times and comparing it to women in Islam. This was a 35 minute interactive talk. Thereafter, Sheikh Zishan took over and continued talking about the Jalali and Jamali aspect in Islam. This was a 30 minute talk.
After both the speakers were done, we opened the floor for a Q&A session. This was actively participated by the participants. Then, we completed by thanking the speakers and appreciating them with a small token of appreciation. The participants were given their refreshments, and that marked the end of the event.
Main objectives for the event were:
- To understand the roles of women in Islam
- Role models in Islam
- How to cope as a Muslimah in today’s time.
Above objectives were achieved through the talk and Q&A sessions.
In conclusion, the event was successful as it met all the objectives planned, it was engaging and received positive feedback from the participants. Suggestion was brought up to have such an event for the males as well.
Echoes Of Courage
The event was organised by the Youth Council girls of Development Society on Friday, 13th of September 2024. This Ladies only event was held at the Tabligh Auditorium (Kids wing) from 7:45-9:15PM.
The event commenced with a welcome and short introduction of the speaker, Sister FatemaMasuma Alidina. Followed by a short intro by herself, introducing parts of the event’s contents. We then played a compilation of videos picked up from ‘The Mukhtar Narrative’ showing a couple of the Ahlulbayt’s companions. We had a short Interval where the speaker went through the contents of the past couple minutes of the video. We then resumed with the video. After the video ended we had a short break for refreshments. Thereafter the speaker gave a commentary accompanied by reflections and real life lessons. Touching also on women’s roles in the path of Islam can either make the way or take you away from it.
Main objectives for the event were:
- Emphasize significance of Historical Figures.
- Encourage reflection and Spiritual Upliftment.
- Inspire participants to embody principles from the personlaities shown and what/how to avoid the negative actions of those in the opposition.
The Above objectives were achieved through the commentary. In conclusion, the event was a good trial/step into arranging/organising events that are more laid back but still have a big informational element to it. Feedback forms have been sent to gather critical feedback for the improvement of other such events.
