Alijawad Rajani – Mentor

Alijawad was born in 2004 and currently lives in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He comes from a family of 6, being the 2nd son and the 3rd born out of 4 siblings. He lives with hiss father, mother, sister and his brother in Dar es Salaam.

Alijawad has studied at Aga Khan Mzizima Secondary School from grade 9 to grade 11. Then pursued his A-levels in Al Muntazir Islamic International School. He recently finished his A-Levels in 2023 coming third overall in the science batch. His subjects were physics, chemistry and mathematics. He graduated from the Husayni Madrassah in 2022 as the presiadent of the Development Society from the graduating class.

He plans to pursue his passion in computers by attaining a Bachelors in computer science. With the grace of Allah (swt), he plans to pursue an entrepreneurial career by exploring various avenues & sectors, particularly ways to increase the IT infrastructure within small-businesses and education.

Alijawad is a part of different organisations in the community, to which he volunteers his time. Namely, the Development Society and Husayni Madresah. Alijawad has been a member of the Development Society since grade 7 in madrasah. Alijawad has held various roles, from being the chairman of the knowledge committee, to being the treasurer, vice-president and eventually the president of DS while in madrasah. Immediately after graduation, he joined the madrasah as an assistant teacher to give back to the amazing institution that has made him the person he is today.

Alijawad has a deep passion for outdoor activities, nature, and adventure. He believes in the transformative power of the camp experience and strives to create lifelong memories for campers. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and exploring new places. With his dedication, skills, and enthusiasm, Alijawad is committed to creating a nurturing and memorable camp experience, fostering personal growth, and inspiring campers to reach their full potential.”
