Sheikh Nabil Awan

Sheikh Nabil Ahmed Awan was born and raised in Peterborough, England. 
He started his journey into Islamic Studies in 2004 in the Holy City of Qom. 
In 2009 he graduated with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Health Studies From De Montfort University Leicester.
In 2016 he gained his Masters in Psychology from University of East London.
He served as an elected City Councillor for the Labour Party from 2011-2016. 
He has previously served as the resident alim for the Al Zahra centre in Nottingham
An avid practitioner and instructor of Wing Chun Kung Fu; he is the founder of Operation:313 a camp aimed at teaching bushcraft and wilderness survival techniques.   
He has been speaking for a over 16 years in Masajid around the world.
He recently returned to the holy city of Qom to further his studies. He is also currently the Director of Religious and Cultural affairs at the Bait Al Qaim Centre in Bradford England.
