A Homegrown Talent from Dar es Salaam
Imran Sheikh’s football journey began right here in Dar es Salaam, where he developed his foundational skills and competitive mindset with Union Sports Club. From December 2021 to May 2024, Imran trained and competed under the club’s youth program — a period that shaped him into the composed, technical central midfielder he is today.
Representing Union Sports Club, Imran played in several notable local and international tournaments, including:
- AK Cup
- Karibu Tournament
- Tanzania National Football Festival
- Dubai Unity Games
These experiences gave him early exposure to structured competition and allowed him to demonstrate his strength in ball control, vision, and tactical awareness.
Taking the Next Step
In May 2024, Imran made a major leap — relocating to the United Kingdom to pursue the next stage of his football development. He currently plays for both the Kirklees College Sports Academy and Britannia Sports FC, where he is further honing his technique, adapting to a faster pace of play, and expanding his footballing knowledge.
Despite the new surroundings, Imran remains grounded in the work ethic and discipline that began in Dar. His transition to UK football reflects his commitment to growth and his ability to adapt to new challenges.

Rooted in Union, Aiming for the Future
Imran’s story is one of progression — from a young talent in Dar es Salaam to a determined and promising midfielder abroad. He carries with him not only the skills learned on the pitch but also the values and resilience nurtured at Union Sports Club.
As he continues to represent himself and his roots on a wider stage, Imran serves as a source of pride for his home community and inspiration for other aspiring athletes across the region.
